Ranking policy
Last updated:
This document explains what determines the order in the ranking of Kraków children's dental clinics and — just as importantly — what that order does not mean.
Six criteria
| Criterion | Weight | What we check |
|---|---|---|
| Paediatric specialisation | 25% | a children-only centre, or paediatric dentists named in person |
| Sedation and general anaesthesia | 20% | inhalation sedation and anaesthesia on site, an anaesthetist, a published price |
| Diagnostic equipment | 15% | CT scanner, intraoral 3D scanner, microscope |
| Transparency of children's prices | 15% | a price list with separate entries for milk teeth |
| Reputation and independence of sources | 15% | rating, number of reviews, number of independent services confirming it |
| Access | 10% | opening hours, languages, number of locations, online booking |
Why we do not publish scores
A selection built on public sources does not carry the precision that a score of "9.2/10" would imply. Some of the data simply does not exist publicly: not every clinic publishes a price list, not every one has a rating on an independent service. Reducing material like that to a single figure to one decimal place would manufacture an appearance of precision. The order is therefore editorial: the criteria describe what we looked at, and each clinic's card shows specific, checkable facts — including the ones that are missing.
What does not affect position
- Payment. The site sells no advertising and no places in the ranking. There are no sponsored positions and no affiliate links.
- Contact from a clinic. It can lead to incorrect data being fixed — never to a move up the list.
- Brand size and name recognition. A large chain earns no points for scale alone.
- How the clinic's website looks.
Limits of the method
- We do not assess quality of treatment or clinical competence — that cannot be done honestly from public sources.
- A clinic that provides a service but does not describe it on its website looks weaker here than one that does. That is a deliberate choice: we are also assessing transparency, because parents decide on the basis of what is available to them.
- Ratings on external services are uneven and change over time, so we always state the service, the number of reviews and the date.
- The selection covers 8 clinics profiled out of 17 reviewed — it is not a complete list of every practice in Kraków that sees children.
Updates
The data is collected afresh at each update of the ranking; the date is shown on the home page. Suggestions of clinics to consider at the next update are welcome at kontakt@najlepsza-stomatologia-dziecieca-krakow.pl — free of charge and with no guarantee of inclusion.
